I’m stuck please help!!!

Keeshia , on June 15, 2018 at 7:42 AM Posted in Planning 0 13
I’m getting married July 20, 2019 and I don’t know what to do in getting things together. My wedding is not even close and I already want to scream. I’m trying to figure out a budget but don’t know what all is needed for a wedding. I want everything to be perfect and go as plan. I also need help on how much money me and my fiancée need to put aside every two weeks or month? I need some advice 😫

Check out costofwedding.com to help you figure out the average cost of weddings in your area and then break it into categories. It's all an estimate here, so you can adjust for what your vision is (ie: you may not spend that much on rings or your dress) and work your way from there.

Figure out what you can save each month until the month before your date (most places require payment 3-4weeks in advance) based on that # and what you have already saved you should have your budget. Using the envelope trick helps-- every week or every pay period put money into the envelope it adds up quick

It also depends on if you want a big wedding or intimate

Have you booked anything yet? I'd look at where you want to get married, check to see if that venue has your date & then look at budget. And start saving now, however you can. Once you have a venue booked that can accommodate your guest list, things will start to fall into place fast. I would also make a wedding binder or wedding folder on your computer, and a separate wedding e-mail account, to help you stay organized.

The budget list on WW is also very helpful and then you should be able to take totals and divide by however many months you have left and use that as a guide as well. BUT most importantly calm down

Tbh I found my venue first and that determined the tone of my budget. Securing a venue should be at the top of your list to ensure you get your date and a lot of places have things included or allow you to have open vendors.

I don’t want a big wedding but I want it to be decent. Money in a envelope is a great idea but I’m nervous one day I might misplace it... 🙄I can be very careless at times even when I tried very hard not to be

That’s a excellence idea I was going to do that last but didn’t knew how important that was first. But I also want to know how long a wedding usually last

I have too places in mind but it’s very hard to get in touch with them. They must be very busy because they hardly answer the phone... it seems like it’s easier messaging them on here for answers

Once you do the list on here then break out your own budget as to how you want to split monies out

Umm our ceremony will probably be about 30min, 45min “cocktail hour, & a 4 hour reception..I guess that’s about standard. I know everyone doesn’t do cocktail hour but we are doing the ceremony & venue at the same place. My venue requires 12hr rental for venue. Every place is different.
