I’m shopping for a new dress..

Jenna, on January 6, 2020 at 10:47 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3
So I said yes to a dress. But I feel like I settled because it was the best one so far and my mom and sister loved it. It’s a sheath with thin straps, but I just don’t feel like a bride in it.. So I’m on the hunt for the dress that I have that feeling in. I feel like I’m crazy and my mom thinks I’m crazy but I just NEED to do this, right?

It's important that you love the dress and feel beautiful in it. Not everyone has that "moment" where you cry - sometimes you just feel good in the dress! For me it was more that I cried because my mom and my sister cried. I picked out my actual dress by myself and knowing that what I wanted was what I was getting, instead of the settling I felt I did. I didn't cry though. I just enjoyed the feeling of being beautiful and radiant and loving my dress.

Definitely follow your gut on this. I was in the same boat as you and almost immediately regretted buying my first dress. I knew I didn't want to look back on my wedding day and regret not wearing a dress that I loved. Trust your instincts! You'll find another dress and you have lots of time. I found my second dress on Azazie and it's just what I wanted, also got it custom sized for FREE so the only alterations I'm getting are having the straps taken up a bit and adding a bustle Smiley smile

If you’re not 100% happy with your dress, that’s ok. Don’t feel guilty for searching for a new dress, you deserve to feel amazing on your wedding day. If you can afford to get another, why not!
