I think definitely once you do your proposals! And lots of the little things. My bridal store is having a maids and mimosas event this weekend, and that really got some of them excited! It just makes it a little more real to them.

View Quoted Comment I have a friend who’s a professional DJ. He does all of our parties. Catering isn’t confirmed yet. My coordinator has a catering company but it’s not my type of food so idk if that’s who I’m going with yet.

I talk to my coworkers, my friend, my sister, and my fiancé about the wedding. Half of them don’t care. Even my sister gets annoyed by it. So I get upset too, but in the end of the day, it’s my wedding, so I understand how other people don’t care about as much as I do. So I just drop it.

View Quoted Comment If you made it clear that the engagement is long term or you haven’t set a date yet then don’t be surprised that no one is asking. Usually once you get others involved like choosing BM is when the questions start rolling in and everyone wants to know details. You got a lot of time. Also remember that not everyone goes Gaga for wedding details. I am like this. I really never cared about details of others’ wedding planning before me. I am going thru it now and I don’t go out of my way to talk about or start convos involving my planning. If someone asks then I can fill them in but I just assume no one cares until they bring it up.

Sorry you feel this way. People excitement tends to pick up as it gets closer. It is hard for people to get excited for an event a year or more away. Give it time!
