If you wear a tampon, and take it out just before you are ready for sex, you can go ahead and have sex even during your period. You may just need a little extra lube to compensate for the drying effect of the tampon.

I am sure you FH has the philosophy of "if I can drive in mud, I can ****in blood". Don't worry about it too much. Besides, since you aren't on BC it could fluctuate because if stress or other reasons.

Period sex is great. Not gonna lie. FH hates it, but I love it. Body-wise, that's when you're at your "peak" and ready to get down. NawwhatImean? And you know, natural lube.

Just wear a tampon and remove it right before sex, or have some fun in the shower first. Maybe try a cervical cap.

Not sure what the reason is that you can't take BC, but if you can use an IUD, I have the Mirena and haven't had periods in close to 2 years. I know it freaks some people out and it doesn't have that effect on everyone, but it might be worth talking to a doc about if you're interested.

(just keep a towel handy). I can't take BC due to a clotting disorder so I do understand though. Not that I'm being a bitch to you Black DahliA, but I really dont understand why, in general, ladies freak out when they cant have sex their wedding night. The beginning of your marriage isnt based on sex - it's not the old days where you HAVE to consummate the marriage (esp since half of us live with out partners beforehand, making NEEDING sex irrevelant). Not only that, but truth be told some girls have talked on here that they were too tired to have sex the wedding night, & choose to crash in bed. The wedding isnt suddenly going to end horribly without sex. Mother nature chooses her own path, & sometimes when we try to altar it (be it BC, or too much stress) she fights back. Take it in stride, and remember that you will have plenty of chances to have sex, and all of them are special in a marriage, the wedding doesnt suddenly make the sex the greatest sex.

Case in point: my parents both were coming down with the flu prior to the wedding, & it was the worst on wedding day. Dont ask why I know this (eww thinking about my parents have sex) but they did not have sex the wedding night. They waited until they were recovered, half way into their honeymoon. They've been married for 21 years now. That's why, IMO it's really no big deal that Mother Nature does not play by our human rules.

Nafina's right. H and I didn't on our wedding night. We were really tired, it was 3 am and H managed to nearly get mugged in the parking lot of our hotel, plus we had OOT friends texting us about breakfast plans. I honestly thought I would have been more upset about it than I was, but it worked out. We cuddled and spread out in the king size bed and then left for our HM the next day (well-rested and without inconveniently texting friends).

Are u just concerned about bleeding the day of your wedding while your in you dress or are you upset that u can't have sex?
