I’m 10 Days Late

Heavenly, on November 15, 2019 at 8:44 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 21

As of November 15th 2019 I am 10 days late! I took a pregnancy test Nov. 13th 2019 it was negative. I’m a little confused at this point. My fiancé did notice my areoles are darker n huger. I’ve been sleeping a lot and so has he. We’re getting married tomorrow Nov. 16th 2019 & I don’t want to A. Get my period on my wedding day or B. Be drinking not even knowing if I’m pregnant or not. What should I do?

If you have another test you can take I would. Sometimes it takes a few days before the pregnancy tests can actually detect the hormones!

Sometimes it can also be stress. i would pack some stuff just in case but you’re under a lot of stress which can change your hormones and how your body reacts immensely.

It could be because of stress. I would visit your doctor if you're concerned about the late period.

Also, take the test with your first urine of the morning for best results.

I'm the type that doesn't usually have a period that's on time. But i get one once a month. So maybe it really is due to your stress because many things can alter when your period comes or not and stress is one of those big ones.

I would try your doctor. They have tests that are able to detect pregnancy a lot sooner than the over the counter test.

I also agree that it could be stress, but also, call your doctor and ask if they can do a blood hcg test. It will see if you have the human growth hormone increasing. If you do, you're pregnant. The levels typically double every 72 hours. Sometimes if you can't pick up your hcg on a urine pregnancy test, it can be picked up by blood hcg. Let us know what you find out! Best of luck with everything.

Sometimes it can be stress (whether it's your wedding planner or something else going on in your life) or sex. I've had a couple late periods both because of sex and stress. It freaked me out. I was always tired.

I was gaining weight, I got stretch marks and other pregnancy symptoms. I talked to FH's dad (doctor), he ordered some tests for me and found out it was my hypothyroid. So I would definitely contact your doctor to see what's going on.

Definitely call your doctor. Like others said, it could be stress. You may not feel stressed but our bodies know when we're going through big events. I know, with me, even though I'm on the pill if a big life event happens I'm a little late.

Have you traveled recently? I traveled abroad in late May/early June and my period ended up being 16 days late. My doctor said traveling and crossing time zones can cause your period to be late.

My period is usually irregular but it is especially so when I travel or when I am stressed!

Were you dieting? My period was 12 days late last month because I had changed my diet around and started a really hardcore workout regimen. Anyways, CONGRATS on getting married!!!

I always forget about that being a factor. I should definitely keep it in mind as I get ready to look fabulous in my dress.
