Ideas for those struggling

Mrs. Spring, on December 8, 2020 at 11:55 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 9
I may have posted these pics before but I wanted to share some wedding inspiration for those going through financial difficulties due to COVID.

My family friends had a tiny wedding of 6 guests in the groom's parents' backyard. The bride bought a white dress from a department store and the groom wore a suit that he already owned. They hired an officiant and provided breakfast. They spent only $300 on the entire thing. Ideas for those struggling 1

One of my sisters and one of my brothers had home
weddings. Very simple, very beautiful. No bills. 1 day preparation. One in the summer with peach and light blue iris behind them, and we walked up 200 yards to picnic tables on the ridge at my parents, mountain view, for several coolers of brunch. And my brother's in winter, at our place. It had snowed so much, the deck was level with the top ofsnow in the yard, 4 ft. But 60 degrees, and every fireplace in the house lit in the daytime, second day of a power failure. I am sorry so few families have home weddings now. Disappearing along with the family farm. It would have been my choice, but not hubby's family.

I thought so too! Unfortunately, my FH refuses to marry in his parents' backyard :-(

Hi Jai. I'm not a huge fan of the city my FH and I live in and I told him since he isn't willing to move to my previous home of DC where much of my support system is including my mom, then we have to compromise and get married there. I was willing to marry in our current city, only if we could marry in his parents' backyard where it would be free. He refused. So DC it is! We will likely marry in one of their parks. Many of them don't require permits if there's less than 10 people present for a ceremony.

I am all for budget friendly weddings. It all depends on how big the wedding people want and how many guests. We had three guests and we married at a bed and breakfast and I regret nothing lol. Made it more intimate. I think this is cute what your friends did and love breakfast so that is genius lol.

Omg, we plan on having only 3 guests as well.
I would have loved a bed and breakfast to marry in but I don't want to wear masks while exchanging vows and taking pictures. Many in DC are requiring this even outside on their premises.

I understand and while I feel my state is highly irresponsible for how they are handling COVID I am lucky that strict measures were not in place. Our B&B had an outside porch and since we were under 10 guests we did not have to wear a mask. Does your area have a limit on people and it is a requirement for a mask? The owner did which was good but the day of we did not because like you I did not want to wear a mask on my day. I hope the restrictions lift soon and I can say even with a couple of friends we had a great and chill day.
