Ideas for kids

Bethany, on April 1, 2020 at 8:05 PM Posted in Planning 1 5
Hey guys! I'm at the stage right now where I've started to put together the ceremony details. I want to focus on the ceremony more than anything else and have a lot planned. I'm worried that some of the kids in attendance may get restless. What can I do to keep them occupied during the ceremony and even after?

Depending on age — there’s coloring books (even the crayola mess free ones) I’m going to have stickers and foam crowns for my daughter and two nieces to make their own crowns — there’s activity books, beads (If age appropriate) bubbles (if outside) even some toys age appropriate in a small area of the reception

I got coloring and activity books for the kids for the reception. For the ceremony we are giving them bubbles and hoping that will be good enough to keep them entertained

Following this! Although I’ll only have 3 kids that’s in the ceremony, I’d like some ideas. Ages 2, 8, & 12.

Sounds good. I'm praying for decent weather for my wedding in October. Ceremony is outside, but also planning some outdoor fun reception ideas like Cornhole, Giant Jenga, yard tic-tac-toe.

I like the bubbles idea, may have to get some for the ceremony and definitely coloring books. My cousins' children will be 3, 4, and 7.

For the reception i didn't care for if kids were there so i got them a bunch of activity books and crayons. however for the ceremony i honestly couldn't think of anything other than using the nursery room my church had and hiring the church nanny. so that's what i did. kids just stayed entertained in the nursery room filled with toys. if you've got that option, i would use it. otherwise you could do as PPs suggest and also have little things they can do in their seats at the ceremony.
