Ice Cream Flavors

Lauren, on May 6, 2016 at 5:15 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 48

I need helping deciding on a second ice cream flavor for our late night snack. We've already picked salted caramel. Which of these would you like at a wedding?

Orange Honey

Strawberry Balsamic

Espresso Chip

Chocolate Lavender

Olive Oil Vanilla Bean

Salted Caramel

Fresh Mint Chip

Chocolate Orange

Beet & Goat Cheese

Avocado

Lemon Custard

Butternut Squash

Chocolate Chip

Lemon! Then you have a tangy and savory flavor.

Chocolate orange, just because chocolate will be super popular. I agree having a tangy-ish element to contrast the caramel would be a good idea!

Lemon Custard or Chocolate Chip. I'm not a fan of any of the rest of the flavors, nor salted anything.

Although if you have the chance for something lactose free like a sorbet, I would go that route!

    Sincerely,

A sad ice cream lover lactose intolerant woman.

Oh no! You're all saying different flavors. Lol

There are options for a Sorbet, but we're already having an intermezzo which will be raspberry Sorbet. I thought it would be redundant to have another, but maybe not?

Yeah some of the flavours sound "neat" but I'd be a little scared to try them. Like strawberry balsamic, the olive oil one, beet and goat cheese. I would only pick one of these if you had 3 or more choices.

Oh god what are some of these flavours?? My sweet tooth is cringing haha My favorite flavour is earl grey honey, but since that's not an option I agree you need something to contrast the sweet caramel. I don't like lemon, but that would be a good refreshing choice...

Butternut squash, really?! I nearly spat out my lunch when I read beet and goat cheese..

ETA: and I am a huge avocado lover, but not in icecream form..

these remind me of harry potter jelly belly's lol

Strawberry balsamic sounds good. But any of the chocolate flavors may be more popular with your guests. Or mint chip.

    Chocolate lavender or mint chip.

Some of them just sound too weird..I love vanilla bean but wtf is olive oil doing in it? Beet & Goat Cheese? It sounds horrible. It's probably delicious but wow....

Yes I wasn't really a fan of the beat & Goat cheese or Butternut Squash. The Avocado is actually really tasty and one of their highest rated flavors on Yelp.

The place is a bit trendy/ hipster, but they use all fresh local ingredients and Strauss creamery so it was a winner for me.

My mind just cannot put together adding a vinegar (Balsamic) to a milk based product, aka ice cream. Just can't compute...lol

I agree with Amber! I'm also lactose intolerant and would appreciate a lactose free option if I were a guest. Otherwise, espresso chip or fresh mint chip sound yummy Smiley smile

@LadyMonk I've never had it from this place, but I've had it at many other ice cream shops. It's delicious. You have to try it at least once!

I would say to go with the chocolate chip as there may be people who prefer a more average flavor. Out of that list I would only eat the chocolate chip or mint chip. Not very adventurous when it comes to ice cream flavors.
