I would love your input on chair covers

IMO they look cheap. What do the chairs look like without the covers?

Chair covers just suck in general...

I agree with pp's, I wouldn't do them.

Almost never are chairs so bad that you need chair covers. Weddings are the only occasion that the vendors have managed to convince so many people that they need to be used. The reason is that most weddings are planned by young couples who have never hosted a large event. Why is it that the same venue can host a formal banquet using the same chairs without covers?

I like the chair sashes but seat covers -the ones that cover the whole seat are not attractive to me. kind of old fashioned. but I have seen a few weddings where they were pretty in the pics

Not a fan of chair covers. I always wonder just how dirty and ugly the chairs must be that you'd need to over them up. I also just don't like the way they look or feel when you sit on them. Besides, once people are sitting, you don't see the chairs anyway.

Don't do it. Chair covers are ugly. Plus, my heels always get caught in it at least once. No one will even care

I never understood having chair covers. You are literally paying for a decoration people are covering with their butts.

I really really don't like chair covers. However, I am posting a pic of my venues chairs for reference. At some point, after attempting to rent decent chairs and deciding we couldn't swallow the cost of ones barely better than these, we decided to go with covers and sashes. We are committed to it now and just hoping for the best.

I despise chair covers, I find them very dated looking. Unless the chairs are beyond hideous, I don't think anyone should bother with chair covers.

All they do is scream, "These chairs are so ugly and cheap that they had to be covered to be presented at an expensive affair."

Don't cover them and nobody will notice them, especially if the tables are professionally dressed.

I'm doing chair covers because the chair colors don't match my wedding colors. As a different perspective, I hate regular banquet chair because they look like chairs for conferences. Chiavari chairs are a nice alternative but they cost double what the chair covers cost to rent.
