i want to add to my dress but I'm not sure what or how?

I think a sparkly belt would add some flare to the dress but you can also dress up with other accessories in addition to your veil! Maybe a nice necklace or even a tiara to get some sparkles going. Because it’s a clean slate, you can do anything or nothing! I tried on mostly “plain” dresses too for this reason.

I love the dress as is honestly, but I lean more towards a more simple and minimal design!

You could always add a nice sash or belt to it, or even a detailed veil would be great!

I think the simplicity of this dress is what makes it pretty. I, personally, would not add anything to it. However, if you really want to, I agree with the sparkly belt idea.

I’m trying to add lace to my dress too! Honestly it’s a lot harder than I thought it would be. I had no idea all the kinds of lace and how expensive it would be. The bridal shop I went to had lace that was $80 a yard and I’d need 6-7 yards. I’ve bought 4 samples and none of them look right. I have searched for similar types of dresses to see what lace they have to give me a better idea of what I want. Like I thought about adding a layer of sequins and found a dress like it and didn’t like the look. I think adding a belt and accessories is the best budget friendly route! You look beautiful!!

I think your dress is a simple and elegant look. I personally wouldn’t add much to it except maybe a sparkly belt.

Mine is similar to yours, plain satin ball gown . I got the most gorgeous lace veil to add some oomph. I personally love the look of clean and classy and the jewelry you wear will really stand out.

Personally, I think a belt would be the easiest thing to add! You can always do a lace belt if you want the best of both worlds. I’m a flashy gal though, so I think a sparkly diamond belt would be nice! Like the other ladies said, jewelry is definitely going to stand out so whatever you feel the dress is missing can be made up with by wearing bold jewelry.


Your dress is already beautiful, so you really don’t have to add much, if anything at all!

You could add a thin rhinestone belt. But, I think that once you have jewelry, makeup and your hair styled, you won’t view the look as “plain” when it’s all put together. Right now you’re looking at the dress pic “as is”.

Accessories like a veil and a necklace will spice it up.

Love your dress! If you want perhaps a thin belt with the same details in a veil? Wear matching earrings but no necklace.

Do you plan on using a veil? I love your dress and I think you look gorgeous, But if you want to spice up the dress, I think possibly a rhinestone belt would be perfect. Also, have you thought about getting a second dress for the reception? You were going to be stunning walking down the aisle in that dress. But if your idea was to have a bit more glitz and glam you could even try to get a less expensive second dress too That would fill that need that you might have for lace or sparkle.

I totally agree with a sparkly belt and embellished veil!! That plus your jewelry will definitely give your dress the extra touch! ✨

I think the dress looks great as is. The only thing I change is make the off the shoulder tighter. A belt would clash with the bodice detail.
