i said "sure" to the dress.

Jennifer, on November 1, 2019 at 7:12 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 2 27
Ever since I watched all these wedding shows, I believed that my dress experience would be full of tears and happiness. My experience was amazing no doubt, but when I found the one...I just kind of stood there...kept looking at it...was like "yea I like this," and finally when asked if it was my dress I said, "Sure." Haha!

What was your experience like? Emotional or like mine?

I didn't cry either. The dress I picked made me feel really beautiful, but there were no tears for anyone.

I cried when I found my dress but that’s my personality . My family on the other hand didn’t really like my dress so they also did no crying lol. At the time I was really upset about them not reacting the way I had seen on all of my favorite episodes of say yes to the dress . Good news 24 days away from my wedding I did my fitting and my mom loved it . So although it was late I still got the confirmation I wanted lol

No crying here either. Every time the consultant went to clean off the rack of dresses I’d say no, keep that one. After a while it became obvious I needed to put it back on. Then I was like, yeah, this it.

I had the same reaction. Just calmly thought yes this is the one. I did get a little choked up when I said yes this is the dress but it was more because it was a big realization that omg im
getting married. The dress itself didn’t bring a tear. I think that’s what most people cry over is that overwhelming realization that you’re getting married. And the tv shows just edit it to make it look like they’re crying over the dress.

I cried, but not when I said yes.
My stylist took me back to change out of it, and i told her i was worried my FH wouldn't like it... She went on this beautiful, inspirational speech about how he'll love me no matter what. I cried then...
I very well might have picked that dress because she was so wonderful and the experience itself was so romantic in nature. I loved it so much.

I bought a dress that I thought I loved but didn't cry for. I slowly realized I made a mistake, so I started shopping again. The second dress I LOVED and did not want to take off, but I still didn't cry. It took about 3 months to come in after they ordered it, so I was starting to have dress regret from not seeing it. Once it came in and I got to put it on again, all those feelings vanished. I cried like a baby the whole way home. I'm not sure if it was because I finally put on my actual dress, or what, but I finally had my bridal moment after the first fitting.

I didn't start crying like I thought I would, but I did get choked up! I honestly just looked at myself in the mirror for a solid half an hour because I couldn't believe how much I loved the dress, even though it was the exact opposite of what I thought I wanted. I finally just pulled my debit card out 🤷🏼‍♀️😅

I or my family definitely didn’t cry when I found “the one” which I actually didn’t buy because I found the “actual” one at the second place (after putting a deposit on the first dress) so my grandma could have the dress experience with a granddaughter! I only tried on more to accommodate grandma who couldn’t come to the earlier appointment! My mother did cry a bit FOR THE UGLIEST DRESS! It’s like what you would put your 1970’s Barbie in, and it was so not be! Had a hard time trying to get out of that one while still being nice!

Definitely didn’t cry. I’m not an emotional person, so I would be more concerned if I actually did cry. I don’t think crying has any indication of whether you picked the right dress. It’s just some hype reality television has put into people’s heads which doesn’t actually exist in real life. Yes, some people cry but it’s far from a requirement.

I am not an emotional person so I didn’t cry. I haven’t bought the dress yet (it’s on hold). I know It’s “the one” because I didn’t want to take it off and I can’t stop thinking about it/looking at pictures. Everyone loved it but my mom wanted me to keep all of my appointments for the weekend. Even she hesitated telling me That before they said they’d put it on hold!

The consultant let everyone who came with me pick a dress for me to try. My best friend/MOH flew in to come with me and while I haven’t cried I get a little choked up knowing that she picked this dress for me.

I tried on 30 dresses before I found “the one” and I cried. That was the only dress that gave me the overwhelming feeling. The style is nothing like what I was going for. I could have said “sure” to about 6 dresses in the style I liked, but didn’t want to settle. I still worry if it’s “the one” but I’ve already paid for it and again....the feelsssss happened!

Yeah, no crying here either. Though I did have a couple of dreams about it (Sample sale dress that I got to try on pre-sample sale. Kept dreaming someone else bought it before me. Figured if I couldn’t stop dreaming about it, it was definitely the one (though it could have been my competitive nature.) Made sure I was the first in line at the sample sale so I could go home with it.)

I was the same way. I only went to two stores on the same day. I don’t think there is one perfect dress. I picked my favorite dress of the day that had majority of the elements I wanted.
