Hi everyone. I just need to know if I’m being crazy here. My fiancé and I finally came to a decision and decided to have our wedding at a venue. However, the lady who is in charge of the venue (who would be my coordinator), is absolutely terrible at communicating. On Monday I messaged her a little before 12 noon and she didn’t respond until almost 8 that evening! The second incident that happened was that I messaged her this morning and asked if she would be available for a phone call so that we can put our deposit down. She said she would be available around 1 today, so I called her around that time. No answer!! She finally called me an hour later. Like I understand running a business is busy and all, but this is just poor customer service and are major red flags to me. I just want to know if I’m overreacting.

It sounds like this is going to be a frustrating process if you continue on with her. She may not have the assistance she needs to run the business. I would strongly consider finding another venue that has a more clear window of expectation when it comes to communicating, money, etc. It's nothing personal against the lady, but it is a very personal event for you and it's an investment. There's already going to be a lot of other things that's going to require sudden shifts or changes but a standing detail such as your wedding venue isn't something you want to "hope" it pans out well...you want to know it WILL pan out well. The venue is the foundation of the location of the wedding...that needs to be stable, period. All other things are adjustable.
