Does your FS have any little habits that just drive you nuts? Mine always takes our good tupperware and silverware to work and magically "loses" them. They naver turn up. It drives me crazy!!!

Jenn/October - at least your FS will listen to music in the car! Mine drives in complete silence and huffs if I turn on the radio.

Shannon- how is that even possible??? Without music I would fall asleep behind the wheel! That's why every car ever has had a radio! That sucks.

My FH is figgity. He likes to sharpen his knife, squeeze the water bottle he has, tap, etc. while we are watching TV together. UGH! Oh, then when he is eating he either smacks (cringe) or hums (not like a song but like a "nom nom" sound) LOL! Thats the best way I can describe it. But I love him anyways....

@ Danie - yeah he does that to me too lol, he is used to his mom doing everything for him. But I am breaking him of his habit because I only do things if I feel like it - he hears no a lot in our house Smiley smile but I give him credit because he will get up and do what ever he wants himself if he knows I'm serious.

Jenn - I know! No one in his family listens to music when they drive. But since I don't own a car, if we need to go anywhere that isn't accessible by transit, he has to drive.

Gassing up the bed, then making various excuses for it. WTF.

Good news: his "me me me" attitude has dropped significantly. That was my biggest issue. I can deal with toilet seats, leaving clothes everywhere, not trying to cook, even the gas. That "me me me" ish is for the birds!

You're kidding right? Don't they all have things that drive us crazy? I KNOW I do things to drive him crazy whether he tells me or not.

I love FH completely, but when he leaves dirty dishes in the sink when the dishwasher is literally 5 inches away it makes me insane! I hate having to clean the second I walk in the door after a long day at work when he's been home all day.

he sweats a fricken lake, and the sheets REEK!! After a while I refuse to sleep in the same bed until he either washes them (preferable) or at least fabreezes them until the next day we can do a wash (we go to a Laundromat lol)

I call it the "Jimmy Trail" - it's a trail of work clothes starting with boots, right on down to undies, from the basement all the way to the bathroom, then to the bedroom where I find a nicely soaked towel after his shower (he gets home 3 hours before me) lying on the bed...every day! As cute as it was in the beginning, now it's just plain annoying! But I still laugh!! lol

Oh there's a few things but at this point ... 10 years down the road ... they don't bother me. I take him for who he is and I wouldn't want him to change a thing ...

He never hangs his clothes up! He will get changed and lay the clothes flat on the sofa by his closet and leave the shoes right in front of the closet instead of inside of it! I swear one day I'm gonna throw a shoe at him!

He complains. "Hey babe can you fill up the water jug more/squeeze the toothpaste from the bottom/cut the veggies the 'right' way/not talk to me about stuff when I'm-waking up- before I had my coffee-while I'm watching tv-while I'm relaxing."

That was all in two hours yesterday. He's anal, Im relaxed.

If you say the phrase "gimme a second" or "I'll just be two seconds," he says, every f**kin' time, without fail, "one...two..." I can feel the fire burning behind my eyeballs when he does that.

    I agree with Amy B.

Instead of letting the little things bother me & drive me crazy, I am thankful that he tells me he love me everyday, he's not a drunk, doesn't cheat, goes to work every day, pays the bills, wants me to hang out with him all the time, will watch all of my silly shows, is a great dad and would rather be with me then his single friends .....

I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to have a little rant because I need to get it out and don't want to start a new thread. My FS has been driving me up a wall lately with his "selfishness" I do all the cleaning, shopping, laundry, care for the dog, and 90% of the cooking and wedding planning as well as work 40-45 hrs/wk and volunteer. I go out of my way to do things that make his life easier few times a week and encourage him to hang out with his friends. He does get super busy because he works 40-50 hrs/wk, volunteers 15-20 hrs/wk, and is on 2 hockey leagues so I see this as supporting him and we both are pretty independent. But lately I've been getting very upset that he isn't reciprocating by doing ANYTHING to help (he won't even make the bed when I've left the house before he gets out of bed). Tonight I am going to lay it out that I don't mind the work, I just expect that occasionally he steps up and takes something off my plate like I regularly do for him.

    Sorry for the rant!
