I lost a Diamond!!!!!!

Oh no!! That is one of the things I am the most paranoid about! You have influenced me to go get mine checked!!.... but your FH is right, that is what insurance is for!!

Do you know where you could have lost it? Do you wear your ring to bed, in the shower, exercising?? I would do a quick check and then call the insurance company ASAP so you can get your ring fixed in time for the wedding!

I dropped my ring and one of the small side stones popped out. FH found it on the floor. When we took my ring in, the replacement was covered under the warranty, they put a new stone in instead of taking the one that fell out. It didn't cost a thing. If it was the big center stone, then we would have to pay for the replacement (or the insurance would), but the warranty would cover the work. If you have a similar warranty, then it is no big deal. You just have to go without the ring while it gets fixed.

I know its not a BIG deal bc its insured so it'll be covered. Just sad, and I never take the ring off except when i goto the beach...so i have NO IDEA where i could have lost it! it could seriously be ANYWHERE!

I lost my center diamond right after we got engaged and right before the insurance went through on my ring! I was devistated. I took it back to the store my FH purchased it from to see how much it'd be to replace- and they replaced it for free! It's a small little family owned, operated jewelry shop and I could not believe they did that. Since then I've also lost 2 of the little diamonds on the sides (it's a really high setting and I'm a major klutz, always banging my hand/ring on doors, drawers, basically anything. lol) and they replaced them for free too- they are so awesome and it's heart swelling to know that places like that still exist.

Ug, I know how you feel. I lost a diamond earring that fh had given me in a parking lot. I felt it pop off, and was able to find the backing, and I searched and searched, but couldn't find the stud. It was obviously covered by insurance, and I got a new one... but I just felt so horrible and irresponsible because of the sentimental value. But, I had to work on letting that go, and just be happy that I had fh to give them to me in the first place!

Oh my! That would make me so paranoid. When you get it fixed make sure they check the prongs. Also get regular cleanings so you can get the prongs checked about every 6 months.

They just cleaned it for me LAST sat!! so i know it was there then! i think i lost it either this morning or yesterday to be honest! because i look at it often enough lol i would have noticed! (i think)

Oh no I check my ring like 5 times a day to make sure they are all still there!! I hope they fix it fast for you!!

So sorry! I'm surprised since you just got your ring cleaned. Did they check the prongs to make sure they were looking good? If not, you might want to make sure they do that every time from now on! I know mine always gets checked when I take it to get cleaned.

Yikes! I only have a single stone on mine and I get it cleaned and checked like every 2 months. I would literally have a heart attack if it came out.

I am a total clutz. Every piece of jewelry I own is insured for this reason.

I know how you feel...same thing happened to me. One of the side diamonds on my engagement ring fell out. It's driving me crazy...luckily its one of the end ones, so when I wear it you can't see it, but we gotta go try and get it fixed :-(

The same thing happened to me about a week or two ago!!! Thankfully, the jeweler said they'll take care of it, not a problem!

About how long should this take? I have 39 days til the wedding hoping itll be well done by then! lol

I seriously lost a small side diamond THE DAY he proposed. Talk about disappointing lol. We had spent the day at the beach, so pretty sure it's in the sand somewhere! I've lost one other since then. Luckily the place I bought it from will replace the small ones for no charge. If I lost the big one I would be SO upset!

It depends on where you got it! Mine is from JB Robinson and they had to fix my diamond since it was loose. It took 14 days. Good luck!
