i knew we were going to hit a bump in the road.

My FH and I have been joking that wedding planning has been going relatively smooth.
Whelp, now with 5 months to go, we have to put up with people and their nonsense.

- FBIL is still leaning towards not coming nor allowing RBs to attend.
- Our venue was hiding the fact that they double booked themselves and didn’t think to tell me 4 days before our tasting appointment. This was after I emailed them with a question.
- Rehearsal venue almost double charged us for our deposit and took 2 weeks to get our contract.
- And a groomsman’s girlfriend is still acting crazy and doesn’t want him to be around my MOH. Long story...

EDIT:

- And my shower venue is still up in the air. In one of my previous post I had stated that I was going to lose it due to changes between the county public schools and parks and rec. The space I had originally booked is owned by parks and rec but was previous an elementary school. Public schools asked for the building back to keep up with community growth. Then they changed their minds. And now they're not sure what they want. Smiley xd

Really, y’all?! 😂😂

It took me longer than I'd like to admit to figure out why your future brother in law wouldn't allow running backs at your wedding...

How are they going to fix that they are double booked?

Eh. How often do your groomsman and MOH have to be around each other without the groomsman's girlfriend?

GIRL YES!!!! It seems like all the crazies are coming out of the woodwork. My dad is trying to force my grandfather on me for the wedding. (We have like no real relationship. Long long story.) My grandmother is overstepping all the boundaries, our officiant has basically gone AWOL and is moving to another state, and now we have a GM and BM (they’re married) making demands about our wedding because of things they regret from their wedding. Like yall
couldnt have done this in the last 2 years we’ve been planning? Why wait until crunch time to go crazy?!

Haha Monday seems to be getting the best of all of us.

We rescheduled with our venue. But I just know they weren't going to tell me until the day before if I hadn't of emailed them.

My MOH and groomsmen were invited to both a BBQ and of course rehearsal dinner; but both of those we included SOs to be polite. Both MOH and GM are on very good speaking terms and enjoy one another's company. GMs girlfriend can get very weird around MOH and usually handles it with drinking. A friend commented that the wedding is 5 months away so she needs to seriously address her problems now.

Girl 🤦🏻‍♀️ Its like the last two weeks, it’s been one thing after another. I finally started telling people if they weren’t paying for my wedding, (Which FH and I are paying for it all with some help from our moms.) then they don’t get a say so in anything 🤷🏻‍♀️ That seems to shut people up real quick.

That's partly why I don't disclose details to anyone outside of the bridal party. So far our parents have been okay with our decisions, but know when to keep their opinions to themselves as we're paying for about 90% of the wedding.

I'm more afraid of extended family acting up: aunt Sally getting drunk at the bar, cousin Betty being petty because she's older and still not married, etc.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! LMAO!! OMG Mandi, that made me laugh so hard!!!!! Mostly because when I first saw "RB" I also thought "running backs?' NO! Thankfully after a second or two, I got "ring bearers" into my head. Whew! I needed that! Thanks for the comic relief!
