Hey, CONGRATULATIONS!! I would say start with a venue first! I got engaged February 17 and found my venue less than a month later! I spoke with countless venues but consider a few things: Parking, location, COST, what do they include(i.e. catering, cakes, decorations, DJ, officiate). Get a wedding planning book and attend two or three bridal shows early. That's an excellent way to mingle with many vendors at once. Download one or two wedding apps and remember to just HAVE FUN. Don't get overwhelmed. Stay on top of your never-ending "to-do" list and you will be fine!

OH! one last thing. Keep your wedding planning circle to a minimum. Everyone wants to help and everyone has ideas but that will stress you out even more. 2 or 3 trustworthy friends or family who can provide meaningful help is perfect.

Zola and Wedding Wire and pretty much every popular wedding website has checklists. It's a good starting point and you can tailor it to your needs

Congrats!!!! obviously step 1 is sit down and figure out a budget. other than that, i'd say go to different types of venues for tours. we went to look at every different option we could. it'll really help you get your vision and most importantly, help you figure out what feels right for you two. where you feel comfortable.

I started with the simple things such as colors, then bridal party, then I started picking up a few things that I knew was needed. Then I went with my dress. After I ordered my dress then things started to hit me with all that I need to get done.
