i have the flu and my wedding is on Sunday

Kathy, on August 16, 2019 at 1:58 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 13

I woke up this morning feeling I'm dying. Fever, vomiting, diarrhea, aches, sneezing, coughing, runny stuffy nose, red watery eyes, ect. Right now my nose is red and I have lost my voice. I look as bad as I feel. Is all hope lost for my wedding ?

I would get tamiflu ASAP! If you don’t feel well enough to go into the doctor I always do the video call apps with a doctor to get a prescription.

I agree....call a doctor ASAP and get medicine. Get lots of rest, drink plenty of liquids and eat if you can. Good luck.

It takes a little time. When I’ve had the flu I usually start feeling better within 24 hours of taking tamiflu.

Get some rest and let the meds do their thing. You really have no options but to rest and drink plenty of fluids. I hope it's over soon.

Don't take Tamiflu if you're vomiting! The stomach flu ISN'T actually the flu at all. It's just incorrect jargon. Regardless, whether it's norovirus (the stomach "flu"), influenza, OR food poisoning you should be keeping food down by Sunday.

If you can't keep down fluids, definitely go back to the doctor and ask him for an antiemetic or anti-nausea medication for the day of. It may make you feel sleepy or have a headache or cause constipation (which might be a blessing) but it should settle your stomach.
