i have a new unused dressed

I wouldn’t get married in a dress that I bought to marry someone else in, but it’s personal preference.

I think it boils down to whether or not you're comfortable wearing the dress. If you love it, go for it

If you never got married in the dress, then I say wear it! The fact that the wedding didn’t occur doesn’t mean that you don’t still like the dress.

If it’s your dream dress wear it. If not sell it and get your dream dress.

What size do you have pictures of it . I have not gotten a dress yet

If it is the dress of your dreams, why try to get something that won't compare? Wear it if you love it.

I'd be dammed if I'm going to spend $100+ on a new dress to appease other people. Do what you want

If you like the dress still wear it. They are being ridiculous. Unless your previous FI made it for you by hand, it has absolutely nothing to do with him. It is a nice dress that you would feel beautiful wearing.
Wear it. One less expense now.

It’s up to you and your fiancé, honestly. I wouldn’t get married in a dress that I intended to use for another wedding/marriage, but it’s personal preference.

I had a friend wear a dress from a previous engagement. She loved the dress and since they were on a tight budget she choose to wear it. If your comfortable wearing it and still love it I say go for it.

If you’re not superstitious and it doesn’t bother you or your fiancé, I say wear it!
If you have doubts, you can always go dress shopping and see if you find something you love more. If you do, you can always sell the original dress.

You thought you had your dream spouse, you went and bought your dream dress. Dream spouse turns out to be " not what he promised to be" dream spouse is out of the picture dream dress continues to hang in the closet. Wear the dress! Your dream spouse deserves to see you in that dream dress you fell in love with!

I guess it depends on if you really love the dress... try it on, make sure it doesn’t make you think of your previous engagement. If they do come across your mind, get a new dress, if you just love that dress and can picture your FH face now, then wear girl!!

I'm super superstitious, I wouldn't but that's just me. But if you never said "I do" in it, then maybe it isn't as bad?

I would use the dress and make additions to make it better like straps or sleeves or a new neckline.

That totally sounds like bad karma to me! I don’t think it matters that you never wore it. You chose it for a wedding to someone else. For a vision of a life with someone else. I would hope that this time around you have different ideas in your head. My advice would be to sell it and get something new that represents your new life and new relationship.
