I hate my boobs...TMI

Leah, on June 23, 2011 at 1:39 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 20

Okay so I may not post as much as I used to but I am having some serious issues. So my boobs just went from 34d to a 36dd in like 2 months and they are killing me. They are so tender to touch I dont want to wear a bra but it hurts not to. Now I have bumps around my areola that come and go (Montgomery glands i think) I switched my birth control pills in January so I doubt it has anything to do with that. I did just go buy a new bra today..anyone else having problems. I'm debating going to the doctor to see whats going on and why they have hurt so much.

Have you taken a pregnancy test? I can understand your boobs getting bigger and going up cup sizes on new birth control, but I'm kind of baffled at the ribcage size. You went from a 32 to 36 ribcage. My boobs constantly grow up a cup size or two every couple years, but never have I changed ribcage size. The only solace I can offer is that no bras in my size will ever be under $100, in fact I pay from $100 to $200 for a bra, 32FF/H is not a fun size..

Ouch MuWa! That is an insane amount of money for a bra. Have you ever looked into Lane Bryant? Do they have one where you live? That is where I get mine and they ALWAYS have coupons and sales going on and the average bra is usually around $38.00. Not to shabby!~

WOw @MuWA I thought my 34F was hard to come by. The only place I can find mine that don't look industrial anyway is at Fredericks. @ Leah I'd see a doctor, it could be that the switch in birth control changed the hormone level in your body but it could also have failed and sore boobs is an early sign of pregnancy so just to be safe I'd have a quick exam. If its the birth control maybe they can look into changing it. I know some pills made me feel sick and sore all over like a flu when I was taking them. Had to go to a very low estrogen pill, til I finally gave up on them all together.

I know the feeling about bras being over $100! The best bras I've ever gotten I had to get from a specialty shop in NYC. Lane Bryant is a close second though...

And I have a feeling that they don't carry MuWA's size due to she's tiny in the rib cage.

Btw... I was a 40HH and am now down to a 38DDD. Sorry had to share because I'm really proud of it!

And to the OP.. my first thought was pregnancy. have you skipped any pills or been on any meds recently?

Sorry to hijack Leah, didn't intend too!

@ FMK, I"m in Canada, so no Lane Bryant, Macy's, etc. I can buy my size at the mom n' pop bra shops that carry brands like Freya. Or if I've got the cash, barenecessities.com But i find they have the same bras all the time.

@ Mia, I tell women this all the time, You think you want my boobs, but you don't want the back and shoulder pain, the crying breakdown everytime you have to buy shirts, dresses, bras, bathing suits. And I perfer people, look at my face when talking to me, believe me, some gals are just as bad as the guys!

I'm a 32D (almost DD, one boob is one boob isn't- lol) and if I actually bought bras by my ribcage to bust measurement I'd probably be around the same size as MuWA. If it weren't for my big hips that my boobs need to balance out- i would happily drop down to a B. as it is I wouldn't mind being a C.

As for the OP- pregnancy test and then go see a doctor. You birth control may have failed during the switch, or it could just be a random freaky coincidence. but better to be safe then sorry.

People always want what they don't have. People with small boobs want big ones, people with big boobs want small ones. People with curly hair want straight, ect....My bff who always picked on me growing up (imagine being in 7th grade with the nickname Chestica....) ended up getting a boob job. She admitted it was because she was jealous of mine.

@MuWA... I have all the symptoms you just described. Before FH, dating was fun trying to figure out who was just in it for the boobs.

I used to be a 34B, I got a boob job and now I am 32DD/E and I love my bewbs! Given at times its hard to shop for them, but I have found my stores and so its not to bad anymore!! For bigger bewbed gals try a store called Intimacy... should be able to find them online. They can be pricey but so worth it and the have great sales from time to time.

I'm so glad Im not the only one who is having a hard time with boobs. DH loves them but they just hurt so bad. I may call my doctor because honestly its ridiculous. I know last month my period came three days early and my pills were really screwy. I have been tired but nothing else. Oh goodness now Im nervous

I'm going to go against the grain and suggest that it's the new BC, I had a change like that when I was about 19 and went from one type of BC to another, my breast size went up astonishingly like yours and were tender and sore, and the montgomery glands were present and everything, but all pregnancy tests were negative. I'm sure it's just your BC, they all effect us differently.
