i hate how i look in my engagement pictures. Anyone redo theirs?

Just an update (not that anyone is concerned haha):

I got the rest of my pictures and while there are some that I "like" there isn't one single picture that I love. I would like to do a redo but honestly I feel ridiculous and high maintenance. I refuse to be a bridezilla. haha. My photographer told me she's happy to do a mini session but I just feel like a burden and honestly embarrassed both by how I look and that I'm more or less throwin' a fit. Doesn't help that I'm having issues with my caterer so I'm just stressed in general. Ugh. Anyway, hope y'all have a great week!!

Hi @LMM1117 - I just read this and saw your last response. I'm curious if you did a mini-shoot and if so, were you happier the second time around? I'm having the same thoughts you're having and wanted to know after some time and reflection if you feel differently about your photos!!! I hope all is well and you're happily married by now!!!

Girl, you look GORGEOUS! But I completely understand where you’re coming from, I actually came across this thread because I JUST got my photos back and thought, “Do I really look as large as I do in some of these photos as I do in real life?” I also workout and am about a size 6, but I’m very short and curvy. So it’s so easy for me to look heavy. Which I hate. It sounds like you haven’t gotten all your photos yet, and I’m sure once you do you will find some that you like. There are a lot in my bunch that I don’t feel I look horrible in. And I know it’s just my awful self esteem, NOT my photographer. She’s amazing. I honestly think where I went wrong is that I should’ve worn more fitted clothes. I read that you should wear flowy things, but that didn’t work out as well on me. I hope you don’t have to redo your photos, and you honestly do look amazing in them from my perspective! But I really understand how you’re feeling.

I hated my sneak peek for the same reasons...almost exactly. I’m a size 6 and lift religiously, cardio is practically punishment to me lol! I looked like a friggin blob in the sneak peek, once we got the rest I was much happier! Funny thing is the one that I HATE of myself is most people’s favorite. I’m sure you look beautiful and are just being your worst critic

View Quoted Comment As a photographer, we want our clients to be happy. Second mini-shoots are not uncommon. It won’t be everything the first shoot was, but it might give you something that you love.

Ugh. Same boat, I felt so uncomfortable because we didn’t meet our photographer beforehand which is something I wish I would have advocated before. we got them done yesterday and she sent us two today and we both are unhappy with them, not just me.
