i got my dress today and my mom hates it

Today was the day I got my wedding dress , I absolutely LOVE IT, I am getting lace straps put on the dress to hold up the top since I am heavy chested , but I’m not sure how to do my hair




Also my appointment today was awful, there was so much drama between my mom and my fiancé’s family , I was honestly to the point of taking the dress off and just leaving . Also my mom HATES my wedding dress.....

    Is beautiful!! Don’t worry she’ll love it once is your dress and is fitted to you. I personally like updo for weddings but your dress is strapless so anything goes! Half up and down or even all down as well.

    So sorry you had to deal with all that. It’s so disappointing with others (especially mothers!) can’t remember that it’s YOUR day! Rest assured though, you look amazing in your dress!! You will be a stunning bride!

    What does she dislike about it? I think it’s beautiful! And with right undergarments and all jazzed up you’ll be rocking it (and the girls locked and loaded!).

    To avoid drama, when you come back for your fitting, bring ONE person. Your mom, your MOH, whoever you think will be the best person. NOT an entourage.

    I'm sorry that others took some of your joy away but your dress is gorgeous! As for hair, A half up-half down look might be nice, or something like a swept to one side look.

    It is a pretty dress and congratulations on finding your wedding dress. It is your day, not your moms. You are the one wearing the dress and walking down the aisle. As long as you feel confident and beautiful in your dress no one else’s opinions matter.

    I understand the feeling my mom does not like my dress either and has made comments about it being ugly and making me look fat (there is a detachable tulle train and she thinks the extra fabric is bulky and makes me look bigger). I still love my dress and it is my day. My feelings were hurt originally but I got over it because I will not allow anyone to ruin my day or make choices for me.
