Would you attend a wedding if you don't support the relationship? Why or why not?

I have conveniently had work when there was a wedding I couldn't support. I have not expressed this reason to the couple, because I am not close enough to them (they are close to DH).
Now, some things have changed with said couple, but I stand by my actions. I think they enable each other's unhealthy behaviors (not to other people, to their own selves), and I'm not sure they'll be able to break that cycle.

My family, however, appears to not support ME, as they have never met DH, but still refused to attend.

I would because I guess it's also me supporting my friend or whomever it is.

A split between living far away and deciding to listen to my mother's lies and not come to the wedding.

A few of them have, years ago, but only briefly, at a funeral.

For example we do not support his sisters relationships because there pitty relationships (if you knew her you'd understand what that means) so honestly I would not go to the wedding but would let him decide on if we were going to go or not.

I definitely regret marrying him because it was toxic and I wish I never done it. Our relationship could have just stayed as a bf/gf. My FH (as a friend at the time) had given me strength and clarity to finally leave and stop making excuses. I saw in my FH what I deserved and he was there for me through it all. I didn't leave him for my FH, it just turned out to be that way later down the line. Sometimes I wish this was going to be my first marriage but I can't turn back time.

It depends on why I don't agree with it. If someone in the relationship is a physically, verbally, or emotionally abusive then I'm not going; for example. If I think my friend can do better and the guy isn't the best (isn't doing much with his life.. isn't what I pictures) I am still going because it's her decision and I am still happy for her.

You make a great point, the reasoning definitely matters.
