We want Mexican food but we are indecisive on if we should get other things or just stick with that

    I think it depends on if it's something a majority of your guests will eat . I know several people who don't like Mexican food so if they were invited to an event where I had Mexican food I would serve something additional they could enjoy too.

    Chinese food flavors go well with Mexican food. There are actually restaurants that specialize in this fusion.

    It can be a great option with the right caterer, but I would definitely make sure you do a tasting first.

    I live in San Diego where we have some of the best mex in the world, but it depends on your location and what mexican caterers are available to you.
