What are somethings to do before you and your future spouse gets engaged officially?

@GypsyBride., I second that!!Before we were engaged officially, we discussed being married quite a bit.

I think making a budget is the most important thing. That way you can start narrowing down venues to fit in your budget then once you do get engaged you can visit & pick one without having to stress if you'll be able to afford it. Also, read vendor reviews on WW to decide what you are looking for as well.

I am old fashioned I didn't even think of planning anything until he popped the question then I literally started planning the next day LOL. By the next week we had a date set. LOL

I would just look at rings, maybe venues. Don't make any purchases or sign anything until its official and he has proposed

I didn't see my proposal coming--and I was the one who did the proposing. LOL

I would just casually browse pinterest and maybe start squirreling away money. Get an idea of what sort of wedding you want and maybe research some vendors online.

Oh jeez, FH and I started talking about getting married "someday" about two or three months into the dating process. We fell quick, hard, and the last hurdles (moving in together and him meeting my grandma) were so... easy for us. I started looking over wedding stuff and pricing different options so I could get a general idea of budget fairly early. I started looking at cheap wedding dresses about a month before the proposal, I just had a feeling it was going to happen soon. A lot of that motivation (I said, as he walked into me looking at white dresses online) was financial, but I admitted that I just like looking at pretty things and daydreaming sometimes.

FH and I had pretty much discussed every detail about our wedding before we officially got engaged (before he gave me a ring) because we knew we were gonna marry- we just hadn't got my ring to prove to everybody else ... So I say its never too early to plan!!
