I am against the Ring Bearer Pillows.....

dhaddan, on September 28, 2010 at 9:49 PM Posted in Planning 0 22

I want to do something different, but have no idea what to do. My nephew will be three when the wedding comes, and I don't think he'll hold on to it very well. Anyone else use something different besides the pillow?

I want to use a treasure box...I don't think my ringbearer will b too happy about holding a girly pillow down the aisle.

I was just at a wedding and the ring bearer held the two rings in his hands. He held his hands in front of him cupped together and then handed the rings off to the best-man. It was adorable! But I think he was older than three!

I was thinking the same thing, My bf said that alot of people don't use the actual rings on the pillow but just to symbolize. I'm like what is the point then. Are you all doing something like jumping the broom or unity candles. If so you can get a nice wicker broom and decorate it or he can carry the single canle (unlit) that u all will lite 2gether.

We have a pillow but we are having my niece carry it. She and the flower girl (fiancee's niece) will hold hands down the aisle. She will be a few months shy of 2 when the wedding comes around

We aren't having a ring bearer pillow.... instead we have our rings in the ring box and it is all decorated he will be walking down with the flower girl holding the box and "escorting" the flowergirl down the aisle.

We did a beach wedding and our ring bearer used a little clay pot with the word loved painted on the side. The pot was filled with sand and the rings with placed in the sand. Our ring bearer was almost four so he was fine carrying it down the aisle, not sure how a 3 year old would be with a clay pot, but it is an idea.

Right now he holds stuff pretty steady, but when he gets excited he holds it over his head, so at this point I don't know what were going to do.

I saw one idea that was a book with the pages cut out (like you see in movies where people hide things) and the rings were in there. Book is a lot easier to hold and you can glue a ribbon on the inside to tie it to.

I am having the florist create this. It's made from bamboo with copper wire.

I was thinking of this... it's really cute. It says it's a flower girl basket, but you can easily pin/tie the rings in to the nest Smiley smile

I saw in a bridal magazine a little bowl that you can have your names and date written in the bottom of. It was like $20 and sooo cute if I hadnt already gotten a pillow I would have totally gotten one. I dont know the website but you could probably google it.

I had a box wrapped in satin fabric. There was a little pillow inside with some ribbon. The rings were tied in there so they could not fall out.

You can order one of these cute ceramic ring bearer bowl/plates and tie the rings to it. You can have one customized to say whatever you like,
