Hurt feelings over wedding invite declines?

We've invited about 300 to our wedding and I have been shockingly hurt by some of the RSVP "NO's" that I have received. Why does this seem so cold? I know of course not everyone can make it, obviously, but it is hurting my feelings to get just a "no" reply! Am I overreacting? My married friends say this is how it goes, same thing happened to them and to focus on those who will be there and that the ones that truly love you will be there. I am about 30 days out so things are only getting more and more anxiety ridden...AHHH!!!

I'll tell you something. Almost every "no" had a little note on it ("I wish I could be there").

One friend didn't say anything except check the "no" box and I threw all kinds of shade his way. Then a month after the wedding a beautiful handmade gift arrived from him. I felt like such an ass!

@Lively Bride: DISNEY WORLD?? Really? How utterly ridiculous. Those people sound better suited for DISNEY than your wedding, seriously who does that. Forget about them.

UGH...and St. Patrick's Day? Seriously? Who outside of college/over 22 cares at all about that?

People are so dissappointing!!

@Deborah, a lot of my declines (which has been 8/150 so far) also had little notes on them. It made me feel much better

Happy Friday girls!
The deadline has come and that is today and I've got about 100 RSVP's to chase down this weekend -- WHO IS JEALOUS!? Hahaha.

Right now we've got about 155 yesses, 50 no's and 100 to chase... needless to say, I am now appreciating the no's AND those that aren't coming that sent in their cards early because that means better reception! I have a feeling we'll get about 50 more people to say yes though.
