Hot air balloon also! He came home one day stating he got a deal on a balloon ride. I said "no thanks, they cost too much and its too cold" ( it was in december) He convinced me that the price was a steal ( that was a lie lol) So we rode in the balloon over lake redman in PA. The pilot was taking pictures of us and just as I was about to pose he drops down to one knee in the tiny basket. All I could say was OMG, OMG, OMG...I forgot to answer him until the pilot reminded me we needed an answer so we know wether or not I will be exiting the balloon over the water LOL ( thrown out lol)

After the balloon ride the pilot had champagne and strawberrys waiting for us Smiley smile

We had been already doing wedding planning for a few months actually, but his stupid tax refund was taking forever so it took awhile before he could actually get the ring and make it official.

He took me down to the place we had our first date, which is now our favorite fishing spot Smiley smile He had candles set up and it was super romantic. I even cried Smiley smile

    It was perfect.

FH told me he had a fun weekend planned (not unusual) and told me the details were a surprise. Supposedly there was an exhibit at a historical society he wanted to see, sports-related then we were going to be off on our fun weekend. We walked into a wedding dress exhibit on our way to the sports exhibit and he proposed. That had been the plan all along, and I had no idea. We had barely even talked about getting married, and had never looked at rings together.

I love Dr. Seuss and one afternoon while my mom and sister were supposedly out at a friend's house, FH told me to get dressed because we had to go to his parents' house for some reason. I argued with him that couldn't we stop by on the way to my aunt's that evening for my grandma's b-day. He finally convinced me by telling me that he had a gift for me. (I thought my new Vera Bradley bag came in)

When I went back downstairs FH was sitting on the couch with what looked like a wrapped book. When I opened it I saw it was the book "Oh! The Places You'll Go!" He told me to start reading out loud, which I didn't understand why. Then when I got to the fifth page he had written "Will you marry me?" I was so shocked! And then he got down on to officially propose and was so nervous that he threw the ring box across the floor when he took it out of his pocket!

We had gone on our first big vacation as a couple to Las Vegas. He had been saying for weeks that he had planned a surprise for me because my birthday had just passed. So we get there and I had never been so the first night we just ventured out down the strip to go watch the watershow in front of the Bellagio. It was so beautiful and I look over at him, him shaking, ring in hand, and he proposed and my eyes just filled with tears Smiley smile The sweet thing was that he had already talked to my dad and my grandma ahead of time. Like a (sneaky) gentleman Smiley winking and now, we are 27 days away!!!

He asked me to go on a hike in the middle of hurricane Sandy - it had stopped raining and the radar said it would be clear for the next hour and he asked if I wanted to take the dog out so he could stretch his legs. He let me pick the park for the hike and luckily I picked my favorite one! We got there and he handed me a camera and told me to take pictures which is not at all unusual since I pretty much always take pictures when we go on a hike. We got to the first river cross-over which is a gorgeous stone bridge and as I took a picture of the waterfall he said "I have something I've been meaning to ask you" and I turned to see him on one knee. I sort of just starting doing that silent tear streaming down yoru face cry and couldn't speak for about 2 minutes. He had to prompt me saying .... "So???" and I said yes! It was perfect and I was so surprised.

I attached a picture of the bridge where he proposed, I took it a few minutes before we got there.

It was my birthday, March 2011. We were on our way to Las Vegas, and we had to change planes...so when we got on the 2nd plane we ended up with the whole back row to ourselves. After the seat belt light went off, he got comfy and grabbed my hand. I just thought he wanted to hold hands. He looked at me funny, then took my finger and slid the ring on it and said, "will you marry me?".

Keep in mind that we had already been planning our wedding for about 2 months, but I didn't have a ring yet...so of course I said yes. We hugged and kissed, and took a few cell phone pictures, LOL

    Best birthday I ever had!

LOVING the stories I am reading! :-)

My fiance did his research! He spoke with my parents and friends and realized that my dream proposal (yes, kind of silly to some) was to be proposed on the big screen at Fenway Park in Boston. I am a die hard RedSox fan, but living in MD I had never been able to get to Fenway! For our anniversary, he surprised me with plane tickets to Boston, and then again surprised me with tickets to a RedSox game, It was a huge game too, since it was a game where the 2004 World Series team came on the field, and then sure enough he proposed on the big screen, and we were asked to come onto the field to meet the team! I was speechless to the point I was shaking and said "really? seriously?" before I said "yes" haha. He was so wonderful!! Apparently he had it in the planning stages for 5 months and kept it a secret (which is something he's not good at mind you haha!). It was super special!

Christmas morning at my mom's house. We'd already opened presents and he said he needed to go grab something so he threw on a coat and went outside. When he came back in (all covered in snow) I hopped up to hug him and felt a box in his pocket. I just stuck my hand out and smiled at him (not at all thinking it was a ring...) and he asked if I was sure I wanted it now. I said I would wait if he wanted me to and sat on the couch. He half sat/half knelt (still....no bells) and said "I know we are moving in together soon but I think there's something we need to do first..." (still nothing....in my defense I was raggedy looking and tired). "Babies?!" "Um...something definitely before that...." "Well?" Then he pulled out the ring box and I went into shock. He cracked it open and my ring blinded me...which is my excuse for my first words being "oh SHIT." Then he said how he couldn't wait another year and he had to know I was his and (Insert Full Name Here) would you marry me?"

We were on a family trip at Disney World. Checked into the hotel early sunday morning after driving all night. We were able to get our room so we all took showers and got ready to head to the magic kingdom. Once we parked he took off at a really fast walk that my daughter and i were almost running to catch up to him. I thought he was just excited. once we got there he kept telling Jasmine (my daughter) we had to go see the castle. Said it is the prettiest thing in the whole park. We got there and I took a pic of him and her and gave my dad, who was with us, the camera to take a family pic. I turned around to pose for the pic and he was on his knee! My dad got the perfect pic of my reaction (profile pic). It was a dream come true. Disney has always been a big part of my life so there is no place he could have thought of that would have been better.

Our Birthday Anniversary trip to Vegas my first time we had just picked up my birthday present and taken it back to the hotel room before going to hangout and I sat down in a chair and he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I thought he was joking so I told him to get up and quit playing until I saw the ring.

On our second anniversary, FH took us to Ocean City, MD (where we had our first vacation and first said "I love you"). We started and one end of the boardwalk, walked all the way up to the inlet, had lunch and then went to the amusement park. He had been mushy all weekend so I didn't suspect anything when he took me up on the Ferris wheel and started talking about us and our love and all that. I was so shocked when he pulled out the ring (I thought we were about a year away from that) that I said "What? WHAT? Oh my god. I mean, yes!" He couldn't even put the ring on until we had gotten off the Ferris wheel.

I always wanted to be proposed to on a Ferris wheel.... Or when I accepted my Oscar Smiley winking

In a wedding dress exhibit at a historical society. I was so hung up on how awkward it was to be looking at wedding dresses with a guy, let alone one I wasn't engaged to, that it never crossed my mind that he might have taken me there to propose. Never saw it coming.

It was on valentine day 2013 when my fiance came home from work and him and my 3 year old son did a scavenger hunt with me to find all the presents and at the end of it they proposed to me. Our son was so excited that he had the chance to help his dad.
