In lieu of place cards we are having a display on window panes of table numbers and who is to be seated at each table. I would like to put, "tables 20-22 are for you jerks who want a free meal but weren't courteous to contact me until now"...but that seems rude Smiley winking Also. we invited 186 people (invites and their guests) How many people should I plan on popping up at the last minute?

I say stick them at the vendors table (if ur having one) ... this is like the one thing i know i will be stressed about come closer to our date... we have IMMEDIATE family that we either have to track down for an RSVP for things, or they say they are coming and then dont show up.. so annoying

We are having assigned seating and anyone that did not bother to RSVP or answer our follow up attempts will receive a final message from us that we regret they will be unable to join us on our special day. Anyone that shows up after that will be turned away at the door. We should not be expected to incur additional expenses and hassle for those that did not have enough consideration to rsvp.

A plan for this arrived naturally after we made our seating chart... we tried to make perfect tables of 9 and inevitably we ended up with some tables of 8. So, if anyone shows up unannounced, they can find one of those random open seats.
The # you can expect to show up unannounced is up to your location & your particular crowd (e.g. if travels involved, I wouldn’t expect non-rsvps to show; are they super social bunch vs. not so social?, etc).
