You can but the biggest thing will be the guest list. I would keep it well under 100 or no more than. Also, consider looking at venues that allow outside catering and alcohol. Check some country clubs in your area because where I am at they seem to be much more affordable than a hotel.

I got married on the beach, reception at a pavilion on the beach. About 25 guests. We did it for around $2,500~ish including my dress. It can be done.
