How to keep bouqets from wilting on our wedding day

Future Mrs. Danger, on August 6, 2019 at 12:57 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 2 10
Has anyone had any experience with how to handle your bouquet and the bridesmaids ones the day of the wedding.
How will the flowers hold up when you are taking pics for 2 hours prior to the ceremony and then you still want them to look great walking down the aisle. Do I put them into water in between from time to time or what?
I am having mainly hydrangeas in my bouquet and I know they need a lot of water. We are getting married in November, so I don't think it will be hot.
Does anybody know how this will work?

I think they’ll be fine honestly! My husband picked mine up from the florist at 10:15am and here’s a picture from after our cocktail hour, I think taken around 2pm, and I think they still looked as good as first thing in the morning! Check with your florist though to see what they recommend.

Oops I just realized flowers were kinda blurry in that photo but here’s one taken like a minute after where you can actually see them well lol

They should be okay. But for my moms wedding the person who did her flowers (she was a friend not a professional) kept my bouquet in the fridge. I am not sure if that’s the right way but they were beautiful when the ceremony started

Every wedding I've been in, we've kept the flowers in water up until the ceremony (or photos, if before the ceremony) and they've been fine. I don't think you'll have any issues, but you could always ask your florist for tips.

Keep several vases of water. When you're not actively using them in photos, put them back in the water. Just make sure you have plenty of paper towels and someone to dab them so you don't get water on the dresses! My best friend's wedding planner did this, and she got married in 97 degree July 5th. Nothing wilted.

I also had hydrangeas and my florist brought vases to keep them in because they do need a lot of water. My wedding was in May and they were fine even with the heat.
