How to fill the gap

We chose a city that is neutral. It is 40 mins to an hour away from everyone who is invited to the wedding. We did that so that his family or my family doesn't have to travel 2 hours. The banquet hall we chose has cocktails starting at 5 and we are getting married from 2:30 to 3:30. It works out...
It works out great for us because we can take pictures, but I don't know what to do with the guests. Every wedding I've to had a gap of 4-5 hours and they would go home or to someone's house, but that's not an option. I bloked off some rooms in two different hotels that are near the banquet hall, but who knows how many will book it. What can I do with them for that hour and a half?

My apologies if my post inferred to you that people who have gaps have no manners. In our family and social circle they are not acceptable and that is where my post comes from. We have never found it difficult to plan without a gap.

Maybe hand out programs at the wedding, or let guests no prior, that there will be a wait and give them some options of what is close? A mall, a movie theater, mini golf, nail salon, restaurant, etc?

That is what we are doing. Since we have the venue and church date and time booked we are going to mention it on the save the date cards. They will see how much of a gap there is. I would feel better if I knew they had a place to go to and mingle while waiting.
