How to feel about being asked to be replacement bridesmaid

Can you take a day or two to think about it, if you're not sure how to approach it yet? I hope I didn't give you the impression that I think you should say no and have a big vent session at her - taking cues from what you said it sounded to me like you're confused and upset that she didn't ask you in the first place if you really were her original first choice, and I know if it were me I'd want to understand why my friend didn't feel she could just speak frankly to me about this, or about anything. But if you want to say yes and being asked later doesn't offend you, it's totally ok to say yes! We all just want to see you happy, comfortable at the wedding, and enjoying your friendship

I still think it is nice to be asked. But I seem to be in the minority. I wouldn't read too much into things. If you want to do it say yes, if your gut tells you no, don't do it. I don't know, if a friend asks me for something reasonable, I usually say yes.
