Thank you so much for this information about the point system! I'm new to the website, and have been searching everywhere for answers. Do you get anything for having a lot of points, or is it just for bragging rights?

    Thanks again for the help!

I'm still not understanding the point of some of the badges. I just earned the testing the waters badge tonight, and it said "You're warming up to our community and getting to know the ropes. Today you've taken your first step and tested the water by making your first ever comment."

I've participated in over 400 discussions (which.. I feel like that number should be more, since I've been active here since September), so I'm not sure why that badge popped up for me today.

Hi Stephanie! We're still working out all of the kinks with our new points and badges. Instead of re-starting everyone to 0 points with this new system, we've done our best to award points for everyone's past contributions as well.

We just fixed an issue this week concerning a few of our badges - one of them was the Testing the Water badge. If you had incorrectly not already been awarded this badge, it was corrected this week - which is why you just saw you earned it!

We just fixed an issue with that badge! You should have already received it, so now you have!

I understand that much, but what I'm not understanding is why it's taking multiple weeks to fix one bug at a time. The other badges haven't been awarded for comments, so why this one? I'm not grabby for badges, but the inconsistency in how they work and how WW is going about fixing random bugs is what baffles me.

What does "Practically a Planner" and "Host with the Most" even mean? The descriptions are so vague, it's just a mystery as to why anyone would receive them. I just wish these things had been tested before the big overhaul. It's been a whole month, and there's still confusion and less of a sense of community.

Still unclear on the badges... esp since there was never a response from my last post.

For instance, I've commented in over 500 discussions over the past 6 months but don't have the "Practically a Planner" badge? I'm assuming I should have this since I think this one has to do with how many discussions have been participated in, but.. again.. it's not completely clear.

Host with the Most still doesn't make sense.

I guess the best solution is to just ignore the badges altogether? I have a hard time when a system doesn't make sense, but it seems like it's what WW hopes everyone will just do.

Hi Stephanie! You can click on the badges to read the description for more information!

You earn Host with the Most is earned by starting 50 discussions. You're just 10 discussions short right now!

The Practically a Planner badge has a time element which we've hinted at with the calendar design and is another step up from Problem Solver which you've earned! Comment at least 150 times in 7 days to earn that badge.

Yeah there's no way anyone would ever figure out what "Practically a Planner" is without that explanation. There's nothing about that calendar graphic or the description when you click on it to indicate that it has anything to do with amount of comments within one week.

So what's with "Jump on in" and "Deep End"? One says "you've posted" and the other says "you've commented".. is there a difference? Surely when I've participated in so many discussions over the past 6 months, those badges would also be highlighted?

I am still having an issue with some of the badges that are not showing up. I am very sure I should have at Testing the Waters and Jump On In. Is there any where for us to go to ask for the badge status to be looked into?

Ok, so the points are pretty dumb since you don't win/earn anything with them. Sorry but i don't care about bragging rights.

I'm here to learn and discuss things with othe brides/brides to be and to keep track of what i need to do. That's it and if you want to know who does the most, comments alot, etc then keep it simple with badges and levels.

Sooo... is there actually a guide somewhere as to what you actually need to do to receive certain medals? My growing obsession with this is not allowing for me to be okay with guessing Smiley xd
