Hey all!

Pictures and videos are a great way to share inspiration with the community. You know we all want to see the pics and vids from your wedding, and of course you can share your inspo pictures with us. But do you know how to add them when you're posting on the app?

Here's how:

1) Start a discussion, or find a discussion you want to comment on. The commenting pane has icons for adding a video and for adding a photo.

2) To insert an image: Click on the photo icon, then select whether you want to use an existing photo from your gallery or take a picture.

3. Select the image, or take a new one. When it's attached to the discussion you'll see a thumbnail. You can add more than one photo, just repeat this process until you've attached all the images you need.

4. To attach a video: first find the video you want to include. Those hosted on YouTube or Vimeo are best. Grab the link and copy it.

5. Head back to the WeddingWire app and click the video icon. Paste the link in the pop up.

6. Once you’ve pasted the video link in, you’ll see a preview of the video. You can also edit the title for the video.

Now that your photos or videos are attached, type the text of your comment and submit it! Done!

Hi Caitlyn! Are you using a mobile internet browser on your phone? If so you won't see the option to add pictures. Make sure to download our wedding planning app for iOS or Android - and then you'll be good to go!

Hey Debbie! Are you getting an error message, or does the video just cut off at 30 min? I have to say I don't think I've seen a video longer than 30 min in the community before so I'll have to ask about it.

I'm following these directions exactly, but pictures do not want to upload from my desktop... I can upload some from my phone, but the quality is garbage. I'm trying to add photos to my comments and to my discussion, but no pictures actually upload. Is there something wrong with the desktop site? I tried closing out, restarting my computer, trying different browsers (Chrome, Edge, IE...). Thanks in advance!

Hey Rebecca, I don't know of any current issue with pics on the desktop site, and I'm having an ok time uploading pics from my desktop. Are you getting any error messages? If you want to email any screenshots to community@weddingwire.com we can try to help look for what might be causing the issue.

I figured it out, i didn't realize the files I was trying to upload were so big, so I just edited the photo size and it worked. Just user error 😊 thanks for responding!
