How to do invitations with separate ceremony and reception site and online rsvp

Allyson, on March 28, 2018 at 7:00 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 1 7
My ceremony and reception will be at different locations and I want my guests to RSVP online. I don’t want my invitations to be cluttered or tacky but I would also like to save money on paper, envelopes, stamps etc. How did people who did online RSVPs format their invitations? I was thinking to have a Reception card that said to RSVP online at the bottom but someone suggested I put the ceremony and reception info on the main invitation and make an RSVP card that instructs people to RSVP online. What would you guys do?

I had a detail card with the addresses of the ceremony and reception (mine were also separate). The card also had our website, and said "please visit __________ to RSVP and for more details" or something to that effect. The only information on the actual invitation about location was the name of the church

My invitation only had my ceremony info, time/date/address. I had a details card with information about the reception, hotel block, and how to rsvp.

Invitation should only have ceremony info, and traditionally a reception card separate. But honestly, depending how formal you want to be, we put our reception info on the back of the invite, and a rsvp card separate with the link to our website on it

I included the address for both locations, but I also had a card with a QR code for people to quickly rsvp. There was also direction to the website on that QR code card for people who didn't feel comfortable using the code.

We used a separate RSVP card that listed the wedding website and a phone number for those who chose that route

We included the ceremony and reception locations on the invitation but had a separate "Details" card with our website address that included more information and allowed for them to RSVP online as an option or they could mail the RSVP card.
