How to do a wedding alone?

Crain, on August 4, 2021 at 11:16 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 8
Ok so my friend reached out to me and said that she is going to get married but they want it to be just them and since I was getting married she thought I would know this answer but I really don’t. So she is getting married in a chapel with just her and her fiancé and the priest but she asked me does she walked on the aisle because she just got a nice little dress and a bouquet what is she supposed to walk down the aisle by herself with the flowers and then meet her fiancé at the top or how does this work?

I didn’t really know the answer since that’s just not what my wedding is going to look like at all so I was hoping somebody could give me some ideas of how y’all did your wedding when it was just the two of you

I think she could really do whatever she wants at that point. There is no right or wrong answer, it's whatever makes them happy

Yes! I said the same thing. But I think because she’s doing it in a chapel she’s trying to do it the proper way but I told her it’s up to you if you want to walk down the aisle alone with the bouquet and no music and you just walk go for it if you just want to meet him at the top and don’t walk down the aisle it’s really up to you what you wanna do but she’s so over thinking the right way to do things

They could walk down together if they are doing a first look... have the first look happen at the top of the aisle and then walk down together!

Oh you mean like after she gets ready she meets him at the beginning of the aisle and then that’s the first look then they walk together to the top where priest is? That’s so sweet

Yes! If they have a photographer, I am sure it would be a beautiful moment!

There is no right or wrong here!

If she wants to walk down the aisle to him, she absolutely can. There is nothing wrong with a bride walking down the aisle solo. It actually can be quite breathtaking in photos (one of my all-time favorite wedding photos from the internet is a bride standing on her own in the doorway of the church as she gets ready to walk down.)

If they would rather walk down together, they can do that, too.

It might even be a topic of discussion for her and her hubby-to-be, to decide what would make that moment the most special for both of them. Some men really like the traditional "standing by the priest and watching the bride walk down to them" moment. So maybe suggest that she ask him his thoughts, too. Smiley smile (Of course, he may not have an opinion, which is okay, too!)

I'm pretty sure they need a witness other than the priest, might need to look into that?

That’s what I thought but the state where she’s from they have an option to do I forget the name of it but a certain license where they don’t need a witness
