Just received my wedding shoes last weekend and when I first put them on they felt pretty comfortable. I didn't really walk in them a lot though. Then I took them to my first dress fitting and just standing in them for 30 min my feet killed. So I need to break them in but they are Christian Louboutin and I don't want to scratch the bottom. Should I just walk on carpet as much as possible?? Does anyone have any tips/tricks to not scratch the red? I know the red comes off pretty easily if you work on a hard surface and I want them to be perfect for the wedding day.

You can get a protective sole for them at a shoe repair store. So the red doesn't scratch off.

So I am not 100% this will work for your shoes but I got he Betsy Johnson Blue line and put painters tape over the sole to walk around. I like you have basically only hardwood so it was the only option I could think of. I took the tape off last week to make sure and it worked perfectly. No scratches and no damage to the shoe bottom.

So if you fill a zip lock bag with water and then freeze it and then stuff the frozen bag in the shoe and then put the shoe in the freezer it will stretch the shoe. You can google it. I have done it a few times with my heels. BTW those shoes are gorgeous..

I wish I could help but for me Loubs are the most uncomfortable shoes ever I have 4 pairs and cannot wear any of them for more than an hour standing i always bring flats. It sucks because they are so gorg i guess beauty is pain. I opted for jimmy choo for my wedding shoes

Maybe if you put them in a plastic bag and then walk around? They're beautiful btw!!

I had the same issue when I went to my first fitting. My seamstress must have noticed I was trying to shift my weight and told me to not take the pain as a warning they won't work for the wedding. Standing still for 30+ minutes in a well broken-in heel is going to hurt! After her 25 years of working with mainly brides, I believe her, but it can't hurt to walk around in them as much as you can at home.

I have no idea if this would work, but what if you got socks that have the non-slip stuff on the bottom and put them over the shoes (cutting a hole for the heel) so you could safely walk around on the hardwood?

You might need to bring flats with you . Louboutin are beautiful but are not party shoes unfortunately.

You are wearing my dream wedding shoes!!! Jealous! FH tells me to buy them, but I just can't justify buying shoes that cost more than my dress did!haha

My only advice is, stick it out for the ceremony and pictures and change into flats after. Unfortunately, I don't think any amount of breaking in is going to help you be able to stick it out all night.

Sigh...those shoes are gorgeous! I remember the days when I was young and could wear shoes like that!!! Get a good insert for the ball of your feet...will make a world of difference!

Its just a circle part that will be covered by the balls of your feet. They will show when your feet aren't in them lol.
