How to book a hotel room for my bridesmaids and myself to get ready in?

lindsay, on December 8, 2014 at 1:36 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

Hello!

The wedding venue I chose has a bridal suite but it is way too small for all 8 of my girls and myself to get ready in. I want to book a hotel room but was wondering how exactly to go about it because of check in/check out times.

Has anybody already booked a hotel room to get ready in? Do I need to book it for 2 nights? Typically check in isn't until late afternoon and check out is 10am or so. We will need the room from at least 7:30am until 2pm so that's why I am not sure if I could get away with just booking the room for the night before (Friday) to get ready the following morning/afternoon.

Any advice or suggestions welcome!

Look in to a hospitality suite connected to a guest room. That has private bathrooms so you should have the space you need. I am buying some full length mirrors also. We can bring in our own food and beverages as well. For the suite you only have to pay for the day, if you do a guest room you will need to pay for two days

Will you be spending your wedding night at this hotel? I would just do the two days if you can swing it.

You don't know how to rent a hotel room?

Unless you have someone you can use to rent the room for you in their name and will be able to pick up all the stuff that you guys have to leave there (change of clothes, ect) you will have to rent it for at least the night before (and ask if a late check out is an option) but more than likely you will have to rent it for two nights (if the late check out is not an option and you aren't able to find anyone to get all your stuff out of there while you are getting married)

Most hotels will allow you to do a late check-out. If you aren't staying for an additional night then I'd request that and explain to them why you need it until you do...they'll generally be pretty understanding.

I booked a room for the night before the wedding and night of the wedding for myself and FH. My girls and I will be getting ready there the day of, and FH will get ready in the best man's room. We needed to book Friday and Saturday night because we couldn't check in early enough on Saturday otherwise.

Call the hotel and discuss with them. We will probably end up staying the night before at the hotel as well (depending where we are living in a few months), so it own't be an issue because I will already be checked in. I'm sure they will get you in just discuss with the manager/person in charge esp if you are doing a wedding block at this hotel too.

The hotel where we blocked off rooms offered me a hospitality suite to get ready in. We have it from 9:00 to 2, and there are bathrooms, mirrors, and furniture. Ask for something like that.
