How to ask co-maids of honor?

Kalyn, on September 23, 2017 at 11:47 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 1 8

I'm having 2 maids of honor and I'm about to ask the first one, but I don't know how to ask her and tell her she's a co-MOH? I'm sure she'll be fine with it, but I just don't know if I say "So I'm having 2 MOH's and will you be one?" Just not sure how to ask. Smiley smile

Yes, it just means I'm having two. I just didn't know at what point during asking one of the girls do I tell her she's one of 2? I don't want each girl thinking she's the only MOH when she's one of two. Hope that makes sense.

I have 2 MOH and after I asked, I just told one that so and so is also a MOH. I guess it helps that they both know each other and I expressed that it was hard to pick one of them as they equally both mean so much to me

Pick up the phone and say "Hey, BFF, wanna be one of my MOHs?"

I said Co when I asked mine, but they are also sisters so I don't think they were super surprised.

Are they family? I think this might create some animosity depending on the relationships. Only 1 can stand closest to you. How will you pick that person?

Is one married? You could have a matron of honor and then a maid of honor if one is married and the other is not.

I agree with Kennyeh and express you couldn't pick just one. They should understand.

I have a Maid of Honor and a Matron of Honor. My BFF is my Matron of Honor and my Niece is my Maid of Honor. When I asked my BFF, I did let her know my Niece was going to be my Maid of Honor and all was well!
