How soon did you take engagement pics?

We got engaged last month and want to have ours done by Nov. the weather here in metro atlanta is perfect between now and then

Oh and we are getting married 9/24/2011 so about 10-11 months in advance

We're having ours done on our pre-anniversary! One year to the day (or the day after, we haven't confirmed Saturday or Sunday yet) before our wedding.

We got engaged on Valentines Day and took them in April. I couldn't wait

We won't be having ours done until late May early June of next year. That is mainly because I contacted our photographer to have them done this year and never heard back from them. Luckily that happened this far ahead because we had time to drop them and find someone else who we completely love. Our new photographer said that doing them late May early June will give her enough time to get them edited and the signature album made for the reception.

I got Engaged 4-2-10 and we did our photos 8-21-10 and our date 5-14-11. As far as attire, we did our photos on the beach so he wore a button up white shirt and jeans an I wore a white dress. It was simple but they turned out cute.

Thank you everyone! @DeLacy i wish there was a beach near us. lol. I would totally do them on the beach. I think I'm going to do two outfits. One with jeans, a sweater, and a cute top with some boots possibly, and I think the other with a cute fall looking dress. Thanks for helping me out with this guys! Sometimes I think I'm over planning. haha

I have photographed a couple the day after they were engaged. She was so excited it was adorable. On average though it is about a year before the wedding. The good thing about doing them early is that you get to know your photographer and make your final decision about whether or not you would like them to photograph your wedding as well.

Ugh i am embarrassingly over eager.... we got engaged in February, pictures in March, but the wedding isn't until next October.... anyways, i think we're getting a second set done anyways. a lot of photographers offer free engagement sessions with their packages, so look out for that to see if u can get it all together.
