How should I handle this 'potential' uninviting a coworker situation....

I have already sent out STD's because we had a date and venue change so I needed to let everyone know ASAP. I included a coworker on the STD list and I really regret it now. I have already sent out STD's because we had a date and venue change so I needed to let everyone know ASAP. I included a coworker on the STD list and I really regret it now. The other day at work one of my coworkers made a very racist comment that has since made me very uncomfortable around her. Later on the same day she made a comment about gay people as well that solidified my feelings towards her. I have gay family members as well as people of different backgrounds attending our wedding, and now I am concerned that if she comes, she will make some rude comments at the wedding. I would never think to take someone's invite away, but I refuse to tolerate behavior like that.

Should I revoke her invitation and potentially have issues with her at work? (we work in the same group) or should I just keep her on the invite list and pray she doesn't attend? I doubt that she would attend because she would have to drive out there and pay to stay at the hotel.

Wow, karma! Glad you don't have to deal with her anymore.

Wow she must have been exceedingly aggressive with that kind of commentary- it takes a lot to get fired these days.

But good riddance to bad rubbish. But problem solved!!!!

I would try to talk to her. I have family so is homophobic, they aren't vocal about it they are just uncomfortable with it (old school upbringings), they especially piped down when my sister came out. I approached the people of my family who I know are uncomfortable with it and I just gave them a heads up that I have friends who are gay and they will be at my wedding; I was respectable when discussing it with them and they were thankful that I gave them the heads up.

ETA: I just read your comment. What a coincidence that she got the boot for her words just as you were concerned with inviting her because of her words. Definite karma working it's magic there!
