How quickly did you see venues and make a decision?

I'm back at it because I have so many questions lol How quickly did you see venues and make a decision? I got engaged on New Years Day and want to get married in March 2021 after I finish grad school, and I have seen 3 venues thus far, have 2 more tours scheduled on the 25th, but then I have 3...

How quickly did you see venues and make a decision? I got engaged on New Years Day and want to get married in March 2021 after I finish grad school, and I have seen 3 venues thus far, have 2 more tours scheduled on the 25th, but then I have 3 more venues on my list that I want to go see. I am nervous that the dates/time frame I want to select as my wedding date are going to all be booked the longer I wait, as I have noticed people are already starting to book their dates for 2021. I have gone with my mom and aunt to see them b/c my fiance is busy with work but I don't want to inconvenience them and rely on them. I should just go by myself right? Take pictures and notes and report back?

I would say book as soon as you feel that you find the ONE and if it's in your budget to book

Got engaged January 2019 and we planned October 2020 wedding, some venues didn't want to book that far ahead! Go at your own pace if it's over a year, unless you pick a holiday weekend it'll all work out. Once you pick the venue is time to really get planning.

We actually got engaged on mother's day in 2017. We found our venues within weeks and booked it. I notice March is the hottest month for weddings. Happy hunting.

We got engaged Aug 1 2018, booked mid Nov 2018, wedding date June 15 2019. I emailed (no joke) like 60+ venues looking for something in our budget. I picked 3 places I loved. FH and I together selected our top choice. We visited that one and booked it.

We got engaged on April 28, 2018. Started looking at venues May-June 2018. We saw 5 venues and the very last one was the winner. At first, we wanted to get married in late September. It was an $8,000 savings if we got married on a Friday in August. Apparently August is the offseason for this location. We're getting married at a remote Vineyard in Madison, Virginia August 30, 2019. Dream!

As soon as possible worrying about if your date will be available is the worst

FH and I got engaged on 1/11/2019. But we didn’t do anything wedding related. But last weekend we flew to Las Vegas (which is where we’re having our DW) and toured 7 hotels. We saw three on Thursday, two on Friday and the last two on Saturday. We made our decision on Saturday after seeing all of the venues. It was pretty easy for us because we didn’t want anything traditional at all and the final spot we went to was hands down the best choice for us!!

We had searched for a day and came to 2 different venues and the moment we seened this venue we knew that we had to have it. This place is as beautiful as it can be and some big enough for our 130 guest

I made my decision after seeing one venue. I ended up canceling bc their contract process was unorganized.

We only looked at 1 venue and booked it. It had everything we were wanting and was within budget so there was no real need to look elsewhere. We did all of our research online before scheduling so we knew what other venues were offering. But we are only having a 9 month engagement and didn't have any issues securing a date. I think you have plenty of time.

As soon as I was engaged, I knew that the venue was imperative so I started looking immediately especially because of the season I’m getting married in.

I got engaged in December and I started looking for venues about a month afterwards. My mom, fiance and I visited my venue first and then booked it. It was the first venue that we saw and we liked it. It is also the venue where my cousin had her wedding prior to me booking it. I fell in love with my venue. When you are find your venue that you, your fiance and mom like, you will book it. You will know. I would take someone with you because they can give you another perspective on it.

I started touring immediately, well actually my parents as I don’t live in the state we’re getting married in. I had my dream venue in my head and I just didn’t think we could ever afford it and after seeing a couple more venues, we chose our date based off of availability and booked it immediately.

I looked at two venues fell in love with the first one however. However due to unforseen circumstances. That venue was out of our budget. We are very happy with our venue /room and we got the days we wanted. Our first day had to be rescheduled labor day weekend 2019. Now we are getting married on our dating anniversary.

We started the next month only because my FH knows the owner of the venue, this made it so much easier for us that's one thing off my check listSmiley ring

We got engaged early May and started touring venues about two weeks later. We toured/interviewed 4-5 different venues before deciding.
