My opinion is the child is too old when she thinks she's too old.

Not sure what the kid's weight has to do with it, but if she wants to be a flower girl, let her. There's no age limit.

I was a flower girl in third grade, so 7 or 8 years old. I think it's a perfect age!

Thank you everyone. I will say my 50 year old sister wanted to be my flower girl. So I made her the girl in charge of the live flowers for the wedding

I saw an article were someone had their 80-something grandmother with a walker as a flower girl. It was so sweet and grandma was so excited to be in her first weeding! I personally don't think there is an age limit.

Our flower girls are 7, 8, and 10. They are so excited, and I'm glad they are old enough to follow directions. Smiley smile

Our flower person will actually be my FW's nephew. He will be 10. There's no such thing as the right age, size, or even gender for any person involved in your wedding. Do what feels right.

I think 8 and younger is good. My niece is 10 so I asked her to be a jr bridesmaid even though people said she'd be ok to be a flower girl. She just seems to mature and too tall (as tall as me now!) to toss flowers. She was very excited to no longer be a flower girl. she's done it a dozen times at least.
