They currently have a 15% going. I went in and found my dress!!! YAY.... but I am not sure if I should order now, or wait and catch another sale....

I agree I'm aaaalways getting emails about sales! Also, if you get the Retail Me Not app you can find coupon codes but they'll mainly be for online purchases

I was also told that they do the $99 sale once a year. I've was looking for an entire 8 months before I bought my dress. That entire time they had the $99 one time. They did have same sales like 40% and stuff like that. Good luck with your shoppingSmiley smile

I was worried about the same thing, so my mom purchased the dress for me on her Discover card. They have something called price protection (it's good for 3 months after your purchase):

Good thing to know if you have a discover card. If you do, you might want to call and check to see if your specific type of Discover card offers it.

Well, I *think* I've done my research... they DO have sales A LOT, but not necessarily always on gowns. A lot of times it's accessories, shoes, etc... Especially on BF, because that's what I found they did last year. That and I believe *already* reduced gowns. They did ONE 20% off sale that I could find, off of gowns, during the month of March, called the Wedding Dress March (cute, huh?). They have done the 15% off before, but not sure how often. I was trying to play around with various codes last night, so I added the dress to my cart, and got up this morning to a 10% off code in my e-mail. It's not quite 25% off, because the 10 is off of the sale, and not original price. But it's gets my $549 dress, down to $419... what do you think?? Best I am gonna get?

$419 is a really good price.

What's your timeline on when you wanted to purchase your dress? Most places do end of season sales.. so maybe there's another sale at the end of summer? You don't have to worry much about DB, they always have some sort of sale going on.

That's a great price! Maybe ask them if they have some sort of a price match rule where if the price goes down in such amount of time, if they'll honor it for you. But I do think that's a good price. I was going to say maybe wait and keep an eye on it but I wouldn't want you to lose out on it like you did before!

Well I am trying to lose weight... I know every bride says that, but if I don't get my a1c lower in 3 months they are putting me on diabetic meds Smiley sad They said I need to start alterations in Jan for my April wedding. It's a 6 weeks delivery time now, though the website says I could have it by the end of the first week in August. With the holidays coming up, I figure 8? So that now puts me needing to order by the end of Oct. They said every 20lbs is one dress size. Last time I did 30 in 3 months. Ideally I wanted to order as close to my deadline as possible to get the smallest size possible to save on alterations, but they said they will do size exchanges for free, sooooooo, I don't know.

I do know, though, 2 of the dresses I had wanted to try on are now being discontinued Smiley sad And they did not have them in the store to try on, at all. They do have 1 in all sizes online, but my front runner- which has only been on their site about a yr is sold out in all sizes but 1 and it's not mine. This dress has been around David's Bridal, since at least 2011. So I am not sure if that means it's not going anywhere, as it's a staple, or that it could be at any time since it's been there for so long....

I wouldn't worry about discontinued dresses so much (especiall if it just got discontinued). One of my bridesmaids chose a discontinued dress from DB and we freaked out and ordered it on the spot. Long and behold, 2 months later, they still have the dress for sale. So it takes a bit to clear their inventory.

I was thinking... do bridal shops do Black Friday? Man oh man, that would be crazy

Yes, but from what I saw it was on accessories for the wedding, shoes, *maybe* flower girl/bridesmaids dresses/already reduced wedding gowns.

In regards to the lossing weight issue and ordering, when i ordered mine, I ordered it in the dress size that was a little big on me. I fit comfortably in the size smaller but havent fit it enough to where i can sit down (LOL I know furtsrating right?). I figure if i loose the weight that i want to, then the smaller size will fit and i can have them exchange it. If not, then ill fit into the one that i ordered.

Just from my experience, I've walked into a David's Bridal approximately 6 times in the past 7 months, and 5 out of the 6 times, they had a sale going on the dresses.

Is there anyway to spontaneously drive by a local DB? They usually have sale signs in their windows.
