I spent $30 on STD's and $200 on invites, RSVP cards, detail cards and I ordered larger envelopes just in case from Vistaprint, I missed their 50% off sale by a day (I was waiting for 4th of July and they didn't do a sale then!) They run 50% off sales all the time. Oh I guess I spent the $15 on the design from Etsy. This was for 100 invites (and I over ordered)

Mine were 550 for 100 invites after 15% off on minted, but you can do vistaprint cheaper

Some can spend thousands on just invites. It wasn't a priority for us so our STDs costs $34. Invitations we expect to be around $120.

I am planning on using Vista print, so far for 60 (invites, envelopes, reception cards and RSVPS) I'm estimating 150. I am just working up a draft and still working on the guest list. Plus I will wait until a sale for a better price

I think that estimate is including a calligrapher or printed/addressed envelopes.

i think i paid around 400 for 80 invitations (i have 6 left) that includes 5 prints per invite, response envelopes, pocketfolds, inner lined envelope, outer envelope. i shopped around a lot. designed everything on my own. had a trusted printing company do my prints & i addressed everything myself after taking 3 hours making my desktop printer my bitch. it can totally be done for less, just depends how much legwork you're willing

to put in and if you're okay with saying no to all the fancy upgrades and shit.

ETA: the pocketfold + inner envelope was very extra of

me but FH really liked the black envelopes with gold

liner so i said what the hell and did it

I wish I would spend anything over $100 for invitations. The devil is a lie. That money can be spent on something more important, like ALCOHOL!

We spent $200 on 50 invites and reception cards from WPD. I didn't want to go crazy but I wanted them nice.

Ours were $850 for 175 invites, response card and silver shimmer envelope, reception card and teal shimmer pocketfold and a pearl outer envelope. I wanted to do something cheaper but we were running out of time and decided to just get pre designed ones for convenience.

I got mine from Mixbook. Groupon had a deal going on and I got 20% off too! Got 2 Groupons so I could get my 150 invites and 150 RSVPs for $140. Not super fancy but I was pleased with the turnout.

I spent about $1,200 on 175 invites from William Arthur.

That included an inner envelope (gold foil lined), tissue, an outer envelope and the RSVP cards/envelopes.

I got mine at Hobby Lobby, they're the kind you print yourself. We got 50 invitations with envelopes and 50 rsvps with envelopes for $30.00 when they went on sale 50% off. We are expecting about 80 guests.

@asta I agree. It's unfair to gasp and judge what someone wants to spend money on. I love paper, and I love beautiful invitations, so it was worth it to me to have the Minted invitations I'd been eying for months. I still have one in a frame and it's beautiful. If that's not what you want, you don't need to do it - there are affordable, beautiful options out there.

ETA autocorrect. There are also adorable options, but I meant affordable!

I've gotten several positive comments from people about my invitations. they may end up in the trash but people responded to them well and that what i wanted. it was absolutely worth the money to me and i don't feel like i spent that much.
