How much should a groom spend on a wedding day gift for a bride?

It seems like a nice piece of jewelry is traditional. I'm curious if anyone has a suggestion on an amount to spend as a percentage of the wedding budget.

I am getting mine a MacBook he has been dying for one so I am saving all my money to get him one. He is a very hard person to shop for and he does a lot for me. Can't wait to see his face

Mine will get something nerdy the night before. The new madden game, and new Star Wars socks(unless I get lucky and find something else lol).

We aren't doing mandatory. Idc if he gets me something.

My husband gave me a sketch of my gown and his tux...we took it to the reception and the guests signed the mat border around the sketch. Very clever concept! https://www.weddingwire.com/biz/dreamlines-wedding-guest-book-idea-ofallon/312df29d678919b5.html

I agree with the above comment. My brother gave his wife a sketch of her gown. This is our new favorite gift to give. I give this as wedding gifts now. I pulled this image from their site. https://www.weddingwire.com/biz/dreamlines-dress-sketch-o-fallon/312df29d678919b5.html
