I paid 50% of the estimated final cost as a deposit. This included the base price and custom work I requested on both the dress and veil. It's a local boutique.

I went to Saks...it was 50% down based on the total cost (so alterations and taxes included).

I went to a local boutique and put down $1000 when I ordered and paid the balance when I picked it up last week. ETA about half the total price. My final balance was just over $1000 and that includes alterations

I had to pay in full but the company has a credit card option so I used that.

The stores that I visited required a 50% deposit or greater. I ultimately paid for my dress in full though.

I had to put down 50% and the full amount for extra cap sleeves. We pay the other 50% when it comes in.

I bought my dress at a local bridal and formal wear store also. For my dress, I had to put down 50% plus sales tax (so for me that was 56% total in Pennsylvania). The rest is due for me within 30 days of my dress arriving at the salon.

We had to do a $500 deposit at the boutique I went to, which just so happened to be 50% of the cost.

Mine was from a boutique. I had to put a deposit of $400 down. Then paid an additional $250 before they ordered the dress. I have to pay the remaining balance before I pick it up.

One boutique's policy was $200 down to have the dress ordered, but I ended up buying at David's Bridal and paid in full.
