How much for wedding cake

Mine was included in our venue package. 4k????? Are they making the cake out of gold? 😨😨😨😨 I would’ve fell out of the chair for sure. Omg.


I had changed the cake place because the first one literally wanted us to get gum paste flowers which was like $600. I read that it tastes nasty. They gave a hard time too.
So then went to the new bakery they said the flowers at edge of cake would be thrown out so it’s not worth the money or time the guy said use fake flowers then we can get them back too like yeah ok. I’m good with that.

No way would I pay $4k for a cake! My whole wedding budget is only $5k. I am spending about $200 for one large round cake and a quarter sheet cake from the best bakery in our area. 75 guests so not a huge guest count. No frills on the decorations so it is cheaper for that reason alone. I would expect to pay $600-$800 for a large wedding party, at a max.


Look elsewhere. Find a different baker and get a different quote!

I’m spending about $300, 2 tiers, a third tier on the side which will be the one for our 1 yr anniversary, plus 30 cupcakes, half of which are gluten free, plus the grooms cake for after the rehearsal dinner, which he doesn’t know about❤️

My cake is 3 tiers, will feed 150 people, and is only $600, including a specific design I wanted. Ours also comes with a free small cake on our first anniversary! I would not spend $4,000 on a wedding cake, but that’s just me.
