How much for venue deposit?

Ours was half of the venue fee.

It really depends on the venue. Mine was only $500, but I looked at some places that required half down, which was like $5,000.

Depends on the venue. We had to put down the full site fee ($7,000) as a deposit, then catering was separate.

We have three ballrooms at venue. In order to hold a date we take the venue fee and ceremony fee which $6500, $6000 or $4500 plus ceremony fee of $950. You won't owe anything until 6 months out and we would take 60% of the total in food and beverage.....then 10 days out the final amount.

It definitely varies a lot. The one I am thinking of booking requires 20% for the deposit.

Geez! I really like this venue and they are asking the total cost to rent the space which is 12Gs! But “food” can be paid later. Like that’s a favor. On top, we’re booking 22 months in advance. Smh.
