So in order to keep our costs down we were going to go the fake flower route. However, the florist at the store my fiancé works at offered to help us out and try to keep it on the cheaper side. She said she could give us a deal, but since I haven't really done much research on real flowers I don't even know what a good deal would actually look like. If we can swing it, I would rather do real flowers.

Any thoughts on this would help!

For reference we're already not planning on doing a lot of flowers to keep costs down as it is.

    Keep in mind fake flowers can cost just as much or even more than real flowers. I used real flowers. For the centerpieces I picked fresh from a local far which was really cheap and for Bouquets, Boutts, and Corsages I used a florist that I know.

    I’m going to use Sams or Costco for flowers. Table decor -some provided by venue and I’m going to add my own spin to it with dollar store vases and floating candles. Some venues had lanterns included. I’ve seen some really nice looking rubber flowers that I would consider for table.

    I'm thinking of using Kukka DIY Wedding Flowers (kukkaflowers.com), which I recently found advertised on Facebook. It's DIY but with real flowers that the florist ships directly to you with instructions. The arrangements are gorgeous. The also have add-ons (ex. extra shipment of flowers to use on a wedding arch or for matching centerpieces).

    The prices don't seem half bad either!

    In NYC we got quotes from 2 florists that were the same so I'm assuming this is average for our area:

    Bridal bouquet = $150-200
    Bridesmaids bouquets = $125-150
    Boutonierre = $30
    Corsage = $25

    So we attended a wedding last week and there were zero flowers at the reception. The centerpieces were nice but it’s one of the first things I noticed and as beautiful as the place was I would have added some, somewhere, looked a little ordinary.
